The Yamazaki 12 Year is aged in three types of casks: ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and Japanese Mizunara oak. This meticulous aging process imparts a complex and refined character to the whisky. With an ABV of 43%, it is chill-filtered and colored, ensuring a consistent appearance and smooth texture.

The palate is refreshing and bright, with prominent honey, vanilla, light fruits, and a touch of citrus. The initial sweetness is consistent through the mid-palate, with a balanced sweet and sour finish.
